About the band
Bio: Nine Tenths is a 3piece punk rock band drawing influences from every subgenre possible. Mitch started playing guitar and writing lyrics early in 2003 and met up with Donnie a few months later who threw in the bass and backing vocals, who now currently writes and sings just as much as Mitch. In November 2003 is when Mitch and Donnie met up with old school punk Walt. After three months of off an on practices Nine Tenths managed to record their first EP entitled "Demolish Idiocracy" at One Louder Tom studios in St. Augustine thanks to the help of Jeremy Rodgers of late punk band boredom. February 2004 marked the first show ever at Wack a Doo's Club and Brew.
Thanks to Casey C, Po dog, daniel D, Kelly C, Erin (Ian's sister) Ryan P and Andy along with some girlie friends, Rommel, Logan and his boy, along with donnies family representin and Holstein familia holding it down, tiffany, steve-o and his crew for letting wack A doos know who the fuck 9/10 is.
After playing a few more gigs around town at venues Jack Rabbits, Club Fusion, Aces & Eights, they were able to collect donations from first EP to head to studio to record their second EP "less is more" with cornbread productions. After just being on the scene for half a year they have been lucky enough to score some gigs at more renown venues such as thee Imperial, Freebird, and Vito's pizza in Valdumpster, Georgia. They have been lucky enough to share the stage with National acts like Streetlight manifesto, U.K. SUBS, Big D and the Kids Table, Lower Class Brats, Clit 45, The Planet Smashers, Against All Authority, The Know How, El Pus, Vodoo Glow Skulls, MU330 and enjoy sharing stage with local/regional bands such as Cynic Society, Minority Party, Queen Anne's Revenge, Beat Elite, Good Fortune, Organized Crime, Social Disease, basement bastards, frontline rosa, 69 fingers, The Anvils, Upper Class Trash, Take Control. They are still gaining exposure and followers with the release of full length album "Recycle Revolution" (a combonation of first two eps) courstey of No Contract Records. In April, our friend Debra Martinez recorded/produced our live DVD which is also now available.
